Malaysia does not restrict the importation of “fruit for consumption,” including highbush blueberries (Vaccinium corymbosum). Shipments do not require a Phytosanitary Certificate or Import Permit. Malaysia defers to Codex MRLs in cases where a national MRL is not set. Malaysia also has a default MRL policy. For 87 pesticides with U.S. blueberry MRLs, 56 pesticides have MRLs more restrictive than the U.S. MRL.
